In this role, you'll analyze and interpret field data to provide valuable business insights and recommendations that will support strategic decision-making, optimize sales operations, and enhance business performance across AstraZeneca's brands. You'll work with advanced analytical tools like SQL and PySpark in a cloud-based environment, processing large datasets to drive success. Accountabilities:
Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, or related field
Demonstrated ability in data analysis using SQL and PySpark
Strong proficiency in Advanced SQL
Good to have knowledge in PowerBI Desktop, DAX, Power Query, and PowerBI Service
Perform data cleansing, validation, and enrichment to ensure high data quality for downstream analytics and reporting
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good social skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Gather, extract, analyze, and interpret field data from different sources to develop business insights
Create various types of reports and visualizations to identify trends, patterns, and key performance indicators related to business activities: sales, marketing, operations, and other processes
Design and develop standardized and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business collaborators
Provide recommendations based on data analysis to optimize sales and marketing strategies and effectiveness of field teams
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key metrics related to field operations
Ensure data accuracy and completeness by performing regular data audits and reconciliations
Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of business processes
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, or related field
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in data analysis. Experience with Pharma marketing data is a plus
Proven hands-on experience in SQL, and PySpark is a must-have
Proficiency to handle high-volume, complex data
Experience in report building using VBA automation is a good-to-have
Experience with IQVIA Xponent & DDD data is a plus
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and trends in data
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines related to field reporting is a plus
Ability to derive, summarize, and communicate insights from analyses
Organization and time management skills
Candidate should have a desirable level of proficiency in syndicated and custom, primary and secondary data, with inferential analysis and ability to identify insights from data
In addition to strong analytical skills, should have excellent communication skills with a demonstrated track record of effective business partnership as demonstrated by material business impact and influencing
The candidate will also be required to continuously evaluate new quantitative analysis methods and technologies
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with a significant number of business collaborators and cross-functional business partners
Strong communication and influencing skills with proven ability to develop and effectively present succinct, compelling reviews of independently developed analyses infused with insight and business implications/actions to be considered
Strategic and critical thinking with the ability to engage, build, and maintain credibility with Commercial Leadership Team
Knowledge of AZ brand and science is highly desirable
Should have excellent analytical, problem-solving ability. Should be able to grasp new concepts quickly
